Pretty grateful to lead the group that puts this together. We anticipate having great classes for years to come as there are so many people that deserve to be recognized for their contributions and accomplishments.

Thursday evening, the Texas Private School Sports Hall of Fame announced its second class of honorees. This brings the Hall of Fame's total number of inductees to 40. Individual inductee profiles were posted Thursday evening at @txpvtsportshof. The organization is aiming to host an induction ceremony late next month in Waco. Congratulations to all of the individuals recognized.

@baseballmapper Just making sure you guys have a new summer collegiate league, @thecowboyleague, on your site. Personally, I don't see how three leagues in Texas (Texas, Mid-America and this) will go, but an adventure it will be nonetheless.

Yeah, it is a 12-year-old book, but still was a good discount read. Running Alliance Sport's Yuri's Fun Run 5K in April runs by a some of the former homes of astronauts mentioned in the book.

Everybody gets it wrong. FOX4 in Dallas had a bit on Cowtown stating, "Over 29,000 runners participated in the 48th Cowtown Marathon weekend to set a new registration record for the North Texas event." No, it is the opposite way around. Registration record was 29,000, but ...

Totally get that sometimes the outcomes of games aren't pleasant (said bluntly, they're blowouts), but post them (like you would when you win - by any margin) -- and move on. "Oh, we didn't like the outcome, so we're going to act like it never happened." C'mon.

A heckuva nice facility at the new Cypress Christian School campus in Cypress just outside of Highway 99. Have now seen HS BKB (or VB) contests in 61 Texas private and parochial schools, 18 private school contests at non-private facilities, 39 public schools and 5 out-of-state.

The people who claim "exclusive breaking news" when they use the school's graphic that the school posted two hours earlier are ... well, there's lots of words that I can't use. Just say, "The school announced earlier this morning ..."

@ISHLHouston Been trying to get out to a game, even though I'm not necessarily a hockey fan but just to see what's going on. Is there admission fees on these games? Assume so, but just haven't seen anything posted and want to be prepared if I go. Thanks.

For the folks complaining about TAPPS not pushing out NSD material. The UIL didn't either. Do you know what would happen if they did and missed one school over another? And the SPC retweeted three, but not everybody. Just not a hill to die on.

@Whataburger Maybe stores have the option to turn off online ordering for "Dine In" when they have the dining room closed, and some just didn't know how to use it. #1045 was short-handed this AM, but my online "Dine In" order from home turned into 10+ min. wait in drive thru.

Closed out my reporting month (25th to the 24th) with 87,792 meters rowing. That's 54.55 miles. Fourth highest "monthly" total ever. In the gym 19 times this month. 129-week streak at the gym. Average 4-5 visits a week.
