@Nationwide is a scam.
They were happy to take my money for pet insurance, but now that my dog Rocky is in an emergency and I am drowning in vet bills, they are refusing to help.
When I asked if I could upgrade my coverage, they told me no because I was outside the 30-day window. But even if they technically mentioned that at the time, I was being overloaded with information and no one took the time to make sure I truly understood how important that policy was. They also never explained that emergencies like this can happen so suddenly or that vet bills can become this devastating this fast. If they had, I would have known that choosing the lowest coverage could leave me completely stranded in a crisis.
And even beyond that, it is still a stupid policy. Why would you refuse to let someone upgrade their plan and pay more for better coverage when they are in the middle of an emergency and trying to save their pet’s life?
What made it even worse was a manager saying, “We don’t know how expensive vets are either.” That is absurd. You are a pet insurance company. How do you not know that emergency vet care can cost thousands?
Now my dog is fighting for his life, and I am being left alone to carry these crushing bills. Companies like this are happy to take your money every month, but when a real emergency happens, they do not show up.

Do not use @Nationwide You get a homeowner’s policy in December 2025 to December 2026 pay $1,852.00 for said policy in full. Then they come in February oh we had a rate increase in your area now you owe another $349.00! Wtf what in the actual F!!!

@Nationwide @NFL When my mother passed away she had kept Nationwide insurance on her home for about 55 years. Never had any serious claims but when I took control of the home they canceled the policy instead of just transferring it. They made a hard time much harder.
