To be clear, where Zelensky was actually born was Russian at the time of his birth.
Also, Zelensky’s first language is Russian.
He is also a Jew and there are many Jews in Russia.
Nothing that be concerned about.
Jews, by their own account, at least my friends who are Jewish, tell me that Jews are first a religion; but also are a diaspora.
Ergo, Zelensky’s ethnic origin, is first and foremost by birth, Russian, by heritage.
When Ukraine agreed to give up nuclear weapons, the price that the other side had to pay had to be fair. I think NATO membership was the smallest thing leaders of Ukraine had to get in exchange for the nuclear arms. What did we get? Nothing. It was not a fair game, and a big mistake.
Not only a Ukrainian mistake, but also a mistake by other signatories of the Budapest Memorandum. These are nuclear countries. If they asked you to give up nuclear weapons, they should have provided you with a security umbrella. Perhaps a nuclear umbrella.
Ultimately, all of it was a deception. Our nuclear weapons were largely transferred to Russia. For example, strategic aircraft that Russia now uses against us in this war.

@Ethanjohn_88@ZelenskyyUa Russia didn’t beg because Ukraine was never a country to begin with, hence—The Ukraine.
An area in USSR.
The nukes were parked there by the USSR, as part of their territory.
Every officer stationed was of Russian origin. ✅
If the United States truly thinks about withdrawing from NATO, then European security will be based solely on the European Union. But not in its current form. I think that the EU is in a situation where it needs more countries.
The UK, Ukraine, Türkiye, and Norway. These are four strong countries, which are part of Europe. Together, the UK, Ukraine, and Türkiye have armies that are stronger than Russia's army. Without Ukraine and Türkiye, Europe can’t match Russia. With the four countries on board you can wrest control of the seas, have secure skies and the largest land forces.
It’s not about offense, because when Russia makes the decision to have an army of 2.5 million people by 2030, Europe has to think about security and how to preserve its independence. The UK once was a member of the EU. There are concerns about agriculture when it comes to Türkiye. But you can manage all of this if you have a really great economy. But security comes first, economy second. Not vice versa.
From an interview on The Rest Is Politics podcast (5/5).
@ZelenskyyUa When your neighbor is raising an army of 2.5 million you need to prepare for the worst. People seems to forget that Russia conquered whole Europe with 1m soldiers in ww2.
@HoldaasLov17959@ZelenskyyUa You need to do some research lady.
In terms of GDP (you know what that means I guess? - if not there’s no point in continuing) the US actually pays less than most European nations, now and historically.
Come back to me when you have some figures to show I’m wrong.
@ZelenskyyUa As an American taxpayer, I hope they do withdrawal from NATO. We have been paying for your defense for 70 years. It’s time for you guys to grow up and move out of the basement.
@stinchfield1776 You had me there until you said “the oil is ours…”
You’re actually a big part of the problem why the Disunited States of America is becoming the laughing stock of the World….youre giving up your freedom of speech, your liberties and justice system….for what?
BREAKING: Oklahoma State Superintendent @RyanWalters_ just announced that every single high school in the state will now be required to have a Turning Point USA chapter.
Ask yourself: how would the right react if a Democratic superintendent forced every school to host a Black Lives Matter club, a Sunrise Movement chapter, an ANTIFA club, or a Planned Parenthood student group? They would call it indoctrination — and they’d be right.
This is deeply concerning. Public schools should not be turned into mandatory recruitment hubs for any political organization.
@SteveCarroll77 2/2.
The evidence was there in broad daylight. He turned up with a solicitor - County rolled over and upheld his appeal. I spoke with EG….not interested. Guess what? He’s still cheating….and winning trophies.
With general play scores being submitted in their millions, and fears over manipulation persisting, is it time to remove the ban on this local rule in handicap rounds?

@SteveCarroll77 1/2.
Manipulation (cheating!) is here to stay. WHS offers absolutely no ability to reduce the prevalence of cheats in golf and it’s trashing the amateur handicap game. Our worst club cheat was caught/banned/cheated again and when disciplined for a third time appealed to County.
