Do you remember your childhood dreams? I used to fall asleep dreaming about racing dirt bikes and fast cars. But then I spent my twenties clicking buttons building software companies. Getting financial freedom requires years of focused work. And it can easily make you forget the things that stirred your soul as a child. That's why you see it all the time: Guy or gal sells their software biz for millions, or finally hits their retirement number... and then they have no idea what to do with the money and freedom after. They poke around for a few months, get bored / depressed / lonely, then start another stressful company just to be around people and have something to do. But were they dreaming of B2B SaaS or staring at a screen all day as a youngster? No. Money is just a tool to build the life you actually want. Spending your only life exclusively pursuing money when you already have enough seems silly unless you truly love the work itself. Yes building companies/working can be fulfilling, but there are so many other paths to be explored out there. There are people: - Drifting classic cars around frozen lakes in St. Moritz - Traversing the Alps on skis from Zermatt to Verbier - Riding across Portugal on dirt bikes - Truffle hunting and blind-tasting Barolo in Piemonte - Sunset surfing in Biarritz - Spear fishing in Corsica - Village hopping and learning to cook in Tuscany... Endless games to be played and stories to be written. And yet some financially free spend their entire lives on Zoom calls listening to Becky from HR drone on about lord knows what just so they can end up dying with a bigger number on the screen? Of course, one of the things that keeps people from doing all this stuff is that they don't have anyone to do it with. Even if you get financial and time freedom, it's hard to find others who have it too. I'm thinking of starting an adventure club for people in this position. If you have financial and time freedom, or you're on your way there and want to squeeze more life out of your finite time... DM me. Making lifetime memories with great people in beautiful places. Finding new infinite games to make progress in. Sounds more fun than another SaaS tool, no?
