Mohammad Abbas has taken another 5fer in Test.
My favorite story about him is that while he was at Hampshire, He used to stay in a suite at Hilton which is inside Rose Bowl cricket ground in Southampton.
One day, Manchester City was scheduled to play against Southampton and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola requested Hampshire to give him the suite where Abbas stayed. Hampshire refused his request.

Zack Polanski says it 'wasn't appropriate' for him to share a post on X, which appeared to suggest the response of the police when detaining the Golders Green attacker might have been heavy-handed. Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander this morning criticised Polanski's sharing of the post as 'disgusting' - adding he 'is not fit to lead a political party'.

Mate did this for a zoom call last year. Had been getting it away for weeks but got caught when he unmuted as soon as "FROM THE PAVILLION END, COLIN ACKERMANN" was bellowed by the announcer.
He was DMed by a colleague who was on the same call, in a different bit of the ground.

Reducing speed limits to 55mph and forcing people to retake their driving test every 5 years would be an assault on autonomy and individual freedom.
This isn’t about climate change, the environment or road safety (we have some of the safest roads in the world).
Ultimately, Polanski and the Greens want to replace freedom as the organising principle of our society. It’s about the imposition, through social engineering, of a pre-modern vision for how people should live - one that denies the reality of trade-offs and plural values. It is a vision that Dale Vince is very clear about when he says in his book “Manifesto” that “modern life is the cause of so many problems”.
The rise of this kind of idealised thinking in our politics - both left and right - is both regressive and very dangerous. The 20th century shows that we are playing with fire.

You can buy a nice little house like this in Suffolk with a 5% deposit of £6,000. Nationwide, Barclays and others are offering good deals for first time buyers with only a 5% deposit. But then you'd have to forego your gap year in the Far East and Antipodes or your fancy wedding. Poor you. Boo hoo. 🤣
