Something feels off character for Liverpool right now. If Klopp were still in charge, he would likely be standing in front of the cameras alongside Robertson and Salah, with both players also given a chance to speak openly. Instead, we see Slot sitting quietly in a chair, while the club appears hesitant to hand Salah a microphone in case he says something controversial. At the same time, there seems to be a lack of presence from John Henry and the rest of FSG, who could have publicly acknowledged Robertson and Salah for the enormous value they’ve added to the club and the hundreds of millions they’ve helped generate to club. Even Michael Edwards, often described as a football strategist and reportedly earning a significant salary at Liverpool, has been largely absent throughout the season.This doesn’t feel like the way Liverpool are usually operated. Very un-Liverpool in nature.

In the 2022/23 season under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool finished 5th on 67 Points, 4 points off 4th with 71 points. This season under Arne Slot, Liverpool finished 5th on 60 Points, 5 points off 4th with 65 points. The difference is 5th wasn’t a Champions League spot under Klopp, and 60 points is the lowest a team has finished on to secure Champions League football in history. We’re very, very lucky.
