60 points and +10 goal difference In 10 of the last 18 seasons, Liverpool would have finished either 8th or 9th In the last 20 seasons, 60 points was never enough for Champions League qualification 📊 @FotMob thisisanfield.com/2026/05/liverp…

Bournemouth sold *check notes* Zabarnyi for £57m, Huijsen £50m, Kerkez £40m, Ouattara £45m and Semenyo for £65m in January for a very grand total of £257m *checks maths. not a strength*. Bournemouth continued playing attractive, winning football, ending the season unbeaten in 18, sixth in the table and qualified for Europe for the first time ever in their 127 years. Iraola has done a magnificent job – and so has Bournemouth’s recruitment department. Kroupi and Scott the latest gems being polished. Senesi, a £12m signing from Feyenoord four years ago, leaves a free agent to Spurs with plenty of good wishes following his fine defensive service over 128 games. Bournemouth get good value out of players and/or good value for them. Well-run club. Pity that Iraola is leaving and missing out on the European adventure that he helped secure. Leaves team in good shape for incoming Rose. Coaches and players...it's all in the succession planning. #AFCB

In the 2022/23 season under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool finished 5th on 67 Points, 4 points off 4th with 71 points. This season under Arne Slot, Liverpool finished 5th on 60 Points, 5 points off 4th with 65 points. The difference is 5th wasn’t a Champions League spot under Klopp, and 60 points is the lowest a team has finished on to secure Champions League football in history. We’re very, very lucky.

"They are a team that allows football matches to happen to them. It's on the manager and playing staff." "They don't play with any type of aggression...they can choose to be more front-foot. Forget what the fella on the side's saying because he's been proved to be well short of where you'd want..." 🎥 The Anfield Wrap | Peloton

We got 60 points. We lost 20 games. We got 1 away win against teams in the top half. We didn’t win a trophy. We couldn’t beat Burnley, Tudor’s Spurs or Forest at home. United did the double over us. We lost 4-1 to PSV at home. Need we go on? Explain how 2/10 is unfair. We’re all ears.
