This is just a bunch of stuff mostly about music, sport, trains and, sadly, the unimaginable state this country has sunk to.

Spring Steam Spectacular has been just great. Spectacular even! Huge thanks to @WSomRailway and all the amazing volunteers, @QuantockBelle team and all @wsrdepg for putting on such a superb event.

@GregMorseDPhil Really enjoyed this one Greg, thank you. Many memories from my youth -hydraulics at Twerton Tunnel, beers at the Jolly Sailor, Salford, platform 12 at Temple Meads and (see photo) Sunday morning trips round Barrow Hill depot. I’m the little one in the dress like thing (!)

And so we reach Weston-super-Mare, where 50011 CENTURION waits with the 10:20 to Birmingham New Street. It's 14 June 1980. The theme from MASH is at no.1. Hope you enjoyed the journey. The 📷 is c.Thomas Harper. Click the image to see his Flickr pages.

One image. No words. Just an album that, despite its obvious flaws, and other folk's opinions, you just love, love, LOVE. I'll start... #NotPerfectJustLove

@GregMorseDPhil Fab! THE best spot for a cream tea. And even better you can still see Hymeks there! @WestSomRailway @wsrdepg

@GregMorseDPhil Wow what a shot. One of my favourite books that, although the cover of my copy is now rather worse for wear, rather like it’s owner!

Morning all. A monochrome 'Bristolian', the Down today, arriving at Temple Meads in the hands of D804 AVENGER in 1961. The📷looks like something from WESTERNS, HYMEKS & WARSHIPS by Keith Montague, but comes from the late Ken Miller collection via rugd1022

@GregMorseDPhil Another great jaunt Greg, thank you as always. Kept us guessing most of the way. Not only some superb railway photos but a reminder of what a mixed bag the charts were back then!

@GregMorseDPhil A very Happy Christmas to you Greg. Thank you for all these great journeys. Today I will mostly be listening to my favourite Xmas album - Tinsel and Lights by Tracy Thorn.

@GregMorseDPhil Look how tidy it is! A complete mess today. Such a wasted resource to take some of the strain off the M4/M5/M32.

@GregMorseDPhil Looking forward to the new journey. A great way to start, top loco, top location and fab tune!

Morning all. A new journey begins. Here's D1000 WESTERN ENTERPRISE at Bristol Temple Meads (okus platform-end admirer) on a Plymouth-Carfiff. It's 23 July 1971 and T Rex are at no.1. Get it on. Fabulous 📷 c. Derek J Jones

@Tim_Burgess @LlSTENlNG_PARTY For so many of us @LlSTENlNG_PARTY was a huge ray of light in dark times. From each “Press Play” moment the fun and community with other listeners and the artists was incredible. Not to mention the mad and nerdy stories that emerged every time! So @Tim_Burgess we salute you.

@wsrdepg So sorry to hear this news, was really looking forward to the DEPG at 50 event but hopefully it’ll come again. Thank you for all the hard work you put in on all the locos.

English

Big bonus on the last train from minehead @WSomRailway @WizzerTweet where the QB stock was attached meaning 7012 and 5199 gave us a storming 11 coach double headed run back. Great stuff!
