@SDajd4 @forevercoco3 @NormalGayPsych Please understand that 'Only attracted to males' does not mean 'Attracted to ALL males'.
English

@forevercoco3 @NormalGayPsych Biological man transitioning to female. Still attracted to that man?
English

As a gay man, I love men. Biological men — adult human males with the biology I’m wired to be attracted to. Trans men are biological women. I’m not attracted to that. That’s not bigotry. That’s called being gay.
Sexuality isn’t a hate crime. Preferences aren’t phobias. If you need to rewrite basic biology and shame gay people into pretending otherwise, maybe the problem isn’t us.
Same-sex attraction exists for a reason. Let’s stop erasing it.
Who else is tired of this gaslighting? 👇
English

We still haven't fully defined the criteria for being "accepted as the opposite sex".
Let's take a male who calls himself a woman. Let's say that that person is overwhelmingly not perceived as female by society (i.e, doesn't pass at all).
Would he meet the bar for being "accepted as the opposite sex"?
English

@One_Supernova @heathbohm @dicentra33 @wesyang "Trans" is a prefix indicating various things. Trans-Atlantic, Transcendent, transaction.
In our current convo, it refers to a person who is accepted as the opposite sex, not just "looks like".
English

All good liberals blithely assume that there is a way to fix this quirk of transgender self-ID by restricting recognition of trans people to those who are "really trans." But as soon as they try to establish criteria for who is "really trans" they quickly discover that the transgender movement defined a "trans person" as "anyone who says they are trans" because there is no actual way to identify who is "really trans" because transness is solely a matter of internal conviction with no reference to any morphological or psychological fact knowable by any means other than self-report.
The German neo-Nazi who began claiming to be female in prison is no more or less a woman than Admiral Rachel Levine or Rep. Sarah McBride or Brianna Wu or Dylan Mulvaney or Ari Drennan or Alejandro Caraballo. They are all women to the exact same degree as the German neo-Nazi (not at all) and for the same reason (because he claims to be one.)
Wesley Yang@wesyang
A German neo-Nazi who began claiming to be female in prison is suing the German media for referring to him as a man, in accordance with Germany's gender recognition which allows anyone to change their legal gender once a year based solely on self ID dw.com/en/germany-ext…
English

@robert83047 @heathbohm @dicentra33 @wesyang So, "trans" is a prefix indicating you are not literally X thing, but rather look like X thing.
English

You're mixing things up.
Race and sex are very different, sex is binary, race is not. To make your argument work, you'd have to have a word like trans-black.
A male who presents and is accepted as a woman is a trans woman, a type of woman. Not a female.
A white person who presents and is accepted as a black person is a trans-black, not a biological black.
English

@robert83047 @heathbohm @dicentra33 @wesyang "Maybe she does "pass" as black, but she's still not black."
Bingo.
English

"Accepted" has to be more than superficial, just walking down the street.
Does she hang out with other black people who consider her black?
If you had a long conversations, would you realize she was not.
Maybe she does "pass" as black, but she's still not black.
Note that a male who is accepted as a woman is a trans-woman, which is a sub category of woman.
English

@Kaden_Axo @CrybabyRewind @charttalks_ @PopBase You can "identify" as whatever you want. Sky is the limit.
English

@One_Supernova @CrybabyRewind @charttalks_ @PopBase its not a new identity. its simply identifying as a different gender. and there are loads of people who dont "move on". some do, and that's fine, they are allowed to identify as different things, that is literally the point i'm making. exactly, it isnt innate.
English

@dolphkujo @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie People with severe cases of AIS are typically societally accomodated as though they were female. Causing no issues at all.
English

@One_Supernova @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie okay so like you hae someone who looks like this what do u do with her 😭 do u put m on her id and not give her mammograms and put her in mens prisons and bathrooms 😭

English

@dolphkujo @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie Organs that can't perform their associated function due to a medical condition are still that organ.
In the same way that blind people still have eyes.
English

@One_Supernova @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie lowk fair enough on that. i was making an argument though that went off the idea of producing gametes being necessary to an organs state as a gonad, which i state pretty explicitly. but it isnt necessary, i suppose
English

@dolphkujo @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie De La Chapelle syndrome affects males.
And they literally *do* have gonads. They have testicles.
English

@One_Supernova @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie also people with de la chappelle syndrome, where they have xx chromosomes but develop with a (mostly) male aligned phenotype, and are infertile in every reported case, and dont produce gametes exist. because they dont produce gametes at all, i would argue they dont have gonads
English

@dolphkujo @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie "were that true people with androgen insensitivity syndrome would be male"
And guess what... :

English

@One_Supernova @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie well, i would argue, were that true people with androgen insensitivity syndrome would be male, despite having never developed a penis. which, to me, sounds really stupid given that they have vaginas that they were born with. and also they are functionally infertile women.
English

@Heccles94 Terf ideology, aka: The knowledge that males/females exist, that humans cannot change sex and that women and girls are entitled to single-sex spaces and sports.
Crazy ideology isn't it?!
English

@Kaden_Axo @CrybabyRewind @charttalks_ @PopBase So you don't like your sex. Okay. Boo-hoo? Like, that doesn't warrant some new "identity".
And a lot of people who used to call themselves non-binary eventually moved on and stopped that label. It's nothing innate.
English

@One_Supernova @CrybabyRewind @charttalks_ @PopBase Biologically you are correct. in pretty much every other aspect? no. how do you think that you can say this when theres a 0% chance you've ever had gender dysphoria? you have no idea what it feels like. it genuinely makes you want to cut all of your skin off and hide in a corner.
English

@Kaden_Axo @CrybabyRewind @charttalks_ @PopBase My point is "non-binary" has no actual meaning. All humans are male or female. And, all humans can have all kinds of personalities, while still being male or female.
It's a label with no meaning, just to feel special and different.
English

@One_Supernova @CrybabyRewind @charttalks_ @PopBase I didnt say that they couldnt? non-binary people can too.
English

@One_Supernova @CrybabyRewind @charttalks_ @PopBase how could you be non-binary and have that not effect your personality? and meanwhile all of you guys are cruising around with maga bumper stickers and american flags all over your car, if that isnt a core part of your personality then idk what is mate.
English

@dolphkujo @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie Testicular differentiation happens during sex development in-utero.
Nobody is born with undifferentiated gonads that then later in life differentiate into testicles. That's not at all how it works.
English

@One_Supernova @tymprqv7r9 @DazzlingMellie mmmmmmmmm what aboutttt testicular differentiation out of utero? without the consumption or taking of any exogenous hormones ? assuming testicular differentiation means the development of the penis as a result of dht based growth.
English

@Kaden_Axo @CrybabyRewind @charttalks_ @PopBase Finding something cringey is not the same as being angry about it.
Clearly some people are angry about the fact they are male or female and they decided to create an identity around that.
English

@Kaden_Axo @CrybabyRewind @charttalks_ @PopBase Too bad, but it's true.
Denying one's sex changes absolutely nothing. Nothing at all.
English

@DazzlingMellie Do you think you can guilt trip gay men into having sex with the opposite sex?
Honey, good luck with that.
Spoiler: It won't work.
English

@mochiique14 @Ethan145780 @personC81519 @charttalks_ @PopBase That's interesting because many people who identify as "non-binary" actively argue that they are neither male nor female (which are sexes).
English

@charttalks_ @PopBase So… people aren’t people? No shade but we don’t need your validation to know we exist ✌️
English
