@PostDisclosure @anilkseth I don't get it. Functions can't be conscious. A little bit more complicated function than 1+2 can't suddenly be aware of anything. This is not some kind of magic -it's just an algorithm. There is no place for decisions. AI can't make decision - AI "decision" is predetermined.

@PostDisclosure It is not proven in any way, but I think you need a quantum computer to serve as a “vessel” for consciousness. AI itself can’t be conscious because it is just an algorithmic function — a very complicated one, but still just a function. There is no space for will, just execution.

People say AI can't become conscious. But how do we know that consciousness couldn't use it as a vessel? As little as we understand about consciousness, why not?
