EURUSD – Moves 10 pips in 3 hours, then stops you out in 3 seconds. GBPJPY – Straight lines up, straight lines down. No explanation. USDJPY – Slow grind… Slow grind… Sudden 40-pip candle out of nowhere. NAS100 – Only goes up until you buy, then remembers gravity exists. BTCUSD – Pump, dump, pump, dump. No warnings, no logic. US30 – Looks bullish, acts bearish, closes random. AUDUSD – Sideways, sideways, fake breakout, back sideways. XAGUSD – Gold’s little brother but twice the attitude. EURJPY – Calm trend… Calm trend… Random violence.

The best explanation I have read for gold’s worst week in 15 years. It is not the dollar. It is not TIPS yields. Those explain a small part of the move. The real explanation is simpler and more uncomfortable.
