It was both encouraging and inspiring to meet with the second cohort of 25 Somaliland engineers undertaking advanced training in Israel in the fields of water management, storage systems, and modern water technologies. Investing in knowledge and strengthening the skills of our professionals is essential to achieving sustainable national development. These engineers will play a vital role in modernizing Somaliland’s water sector and advancing the development of our national infrastructure. My Government places the highest priority on expanding and improving public infrastructure, particularly access to water. We are committed to ensuring that, within the next three years, every citizen of Somaliland has access to clean, safe, and reliable water. I am confident that the partnerships, expertise, and investments we are building today will provide a strong foundation for realizing our national vision and securing a more prosperous future for our people.

It was a privilege to visit Somaliland children receiving life-saving heart surgery in Israel and to witness firsthand care and treatment being provided to them. The courage, resilience, and smiles of these young children serve as a powerful reminder of the value of hope and the profound importance of saving human lives. I extend my sincere gratitude to the doctors, medical professionals, and all those whose humanitarian efforts have made it possible for these Somaliland children to receive the treatment they need. My thoughts and prayers are with the children and their families. I pray for their full recovery, good health, and a bright future.

Six months after Israel 🇮🇱 recognized Somaliland, the two sides are now shifting toward real economic partnership. High-level visits and discussions have resulted in the signing of a Strategic Joint Declaration of Cooperation focused on agriculture, water management, technology, and infrastructure. Israeli expertise is expected to support Somaliland in overcoming development hurdles and pulling in more foreign investment.
