today I found out the Hill of Allen – the legendary seat of Fionn mac Cumhaill – has been quarried into oblivion by Roadstone, i.e. the R in CRH, and just looking at it makes me physically sick

@apallan We looked into this issue last year as part of our ‘Opening Local Government’ research. Transparency of decisions at local government level is a major issue in need of reform. The research makes practical recommendations for how this can be done.
