Unions know they can’t win on the merits, so they’re running to state legislatures to lobby for laws designed to make our outreach illegal.

We just testified in Hawaii against SB 3055, a union-backed bill designed to silence us and block public employees from learning about their constitutional right to opt out of their union. This is a carbon copy of Oregon’s unconstitutional HB 3789, the same anti-speech law we’re challenging in federal court in the 9th Circuit. AFSCME union officials openly admitted during testimony that the Freedom Foundation is the sole reason this bill exists. They aren’t even pretending it’s about anything else!
