We urge @NickBSchroer, @AlexRileyMO, @TonyLuetkemeyer and @jmmurphy8 to block binding arbitration for government unions. When both sides are bargaining with taxpayer dollars, neither has any incentive to be fiscally responsible. The result: higher taxes and broken trust in local communities.

California's "Billionaire Tax" is a classic union bait-and-switch. Backed by SEIU, this 5% wealth tax on billionaires hides a poison pill: the legislature can expand it to anyone with assets—without a vote—while gutting the pensions of the very nurses and teachers SEIU claims to protect.

Idaho just ended automatic paycheck deductions for union dues. Florida passed a law requiring unions to actually earn majority support to stay certified — after our research showed taxpayers were footing millions for union political advocacy. Gov. @RonDeSantis signed it Friday.

Florida students deserve high-quality education, and great teachers deserve recognition and competitive pay.
But time and again partisan school unions have shown that they do not act in the best interests of the teachers they purport to represent, let alone the best interests of students.
Today, I was proud to sign legislation to hold unions accountable and to reward the educators who go above and beyond to inspire students across Florida.

Thanks to our historic investments and common-sense policies, Florida has ranked #1 in the nation for education two out of the last three years. Today in Fort Myers, I signed landmark legislation to build on this success and ensure our state continues to lead the way in education.
✔️ Senate Bill 1296 is a landmark reform that provides for the de-certification of partisan school unions. This bill also fast-tracks salary increases, which some unions have stalled.
✔️ HB 1279 allows districts to provide immediate pay incentives to high-performing teachers who choose to teach in lower performing schools without being burdened by collective bargaining.

Florida just put workers back in charge. With SB 1296 signed by @GovRonDeSantis , unions have to prove real majority support—no shortcuts, no games. And taxpayers aren’t footing the bill for union politics anymore. This is a clear win for accountability, transparency, and the people doing the work.
