@mrz_1976 @mehulg10 Nearly all city fans I’ve seen are backing us to lose and rightfully so. It’s so difficult to have any faith and confidence in this team atm

Purely gut, but predicting that we concede early on Sunday and Arsenal put together the nastiest low block mankind has ever seen. Not the most confident of us pulling through.

@radhoo12 It’s a gauranteed loss not even just a gut feeling. You cant fail to win against relegation battling westham, forest at home and get battered 5-1 against one of the worst Madrid sides losing to them at home and then expect to win against one of the most in form teams

Cherki is getting benched tmrw btw. I'll be surprised if he starts and this is part of the reason I'm not confident we'll beat Arsenal. Cherki has to start but we know he won't and we'll struggle

Luke Shaw not being called up is ridiculous. There seems to be a strange narrative surrounding him, but when he’s fit, he’s a top quality footballer who absolutely deserves to be on that plane.

Nothing Trent Alexander-Arnold has done this season warrants a call-up. Not one thing. England have proper full-backs who've been far better than him this campaign. Livramento and Djed Spence have both been outstanding. Livramento at Newcastle, Spence at Spurs. The key difference is that both are more reliable in and out of possession & have got strong mentality. Trent's game has always been situational. In possession, with the right profiles ahead of him, he can be elite but out of possession, he's a genuine liability. You have to build the team around covering his defensive duties, which compromises structure and unbalances the system. So no, leaving him out isn't harsh. It's logical.

Trent Alexander-Arnold plays right-back for Real Madrid. Started home and away against Manchester City. He won the Premier League and Champions League at right-back with Liverpool. He’s used to dealing with pressure. He’s taken a decisive tournament penalty. He’s played in the World Cup before. He has occasional defensive deficiencies but he brings a long-range passing skill that few possess. Are England that blessed at right-back that they don’t need Alexander-Arnold? That he isn’t amongst the best 30 outfield players available to Thomas Tuchel?

@Swiizz_The_Sag3 @Chris_G_Howard @RealTolmie He’s very good but obviously not as good as Rodri. Good very good passing, energetic, physical etc. Brings most of what we’ve been lacking in midfield this season. Him alongside Anderson would be two fantastic midfield reinforcements

City's interest in Sandro Tonali could be helped by Newcastle still wanting to sign James Trafford this summer.

i want the next manager after pep to be a proven winner, or at the very least someone with a solid track record. i don’t want an inexperienced coach just because they play nice football. it has to be someone who’s already managed at the highest level for me.

@RealTolmie We should be going for the very best, we’re in our current position because we went for Phillips instead of Rice & Gonzales instead of João Neves. We should be weakening our major opposition, not ourselves!!
