@FreddyInSpace Longer breaks would have given them more to work with but I think the best part would be how the main characters could get a chance to *breathe*. Just let the gang enjoy their happy endings, damn it. What's the point of rooting for them now if a new Ghostface shows up every year?

A few people have misinterpreted this tweet so allow me to clarify. Wasn't saying long breaks between movies was part of the SCREAM recipe. Was saying commentary on the horror genre was part of the recipe. And I'm baffled that the series has dropped its key reason for existing.

I've always felt Scream movies are allowed to be at their best when enough time has passed to comment on new things about the genre. Give me one every 10 years. It's curious how far the franchise has drifted away from that even being part of the recipe. Franchise needs a break.
