It is the perfect, literal description of celestial bodies gliding through the vacuum of space, bound by what these scientists now call gravity. They are not fixed to solid domes like the ancient Greeks believed. They are floating in their designated paths. Allah repeats this in Surah Al-Anbiya (21:33): وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ "And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all in an orbit are swimming." They spend billions of dollars on deep space satellites and telescopes just to post an image of what an unlettered Prophet in the desert recited to his companions centuries ago. The truth has always been there for anyone willing to read. We are and will be always 1400+ years ahead no matter the billions you spend.
