@andrewhoyer there are various possible technical decisions. What if have a custom plugin that schedules a monthly WP cron job to replace that email with a customer email? another option might be right from the start to set up the site with the customer owned email and have it forward to you

Time flies! I added this WordPress Trac ticket 2 years ago. Still unresolved, no clear path forward. The problem, however, still exists. I have a new case, where a client moved their site, set up a copy on a dev server, and now I'm getting frequent admin emails from a dev site!

I NEED my feed full of builders. What are you working on right now? I don't care if it's a startup or a weekend side project. If you're building something, I want you on my timeline. Reply and let's connect. 👇

you can do a quick dns check on the domain email and also check if it's fake or temporary email. the dns can fail so it's good to do it 2-3 times just in case. I'd assume those people with fake or temp emails are not serious. for the verification domains. here's search for temp google.com/search?q=githu…

seriusly how do you handle these things? I wanted to make things easy for users so I removed email verification and now my db it’s full of throwaway emails… Im starting to believe building my app in public was a terrible idea

@eliana_jordan several years ago I read an interesting article - the developer would intentionally NOT finish his job and leave it for tomorrow.... and because the brain hates open loops it can't wait to start the next day. It's a great hack. try it and let me know how it goes

@wpdemoapp @Orbisius Hi! Can you share some more information about this? Will they be forks or newly developed plugins? Will you add it to the official WordPress repo or under GitHub?

The SudoWP project began with a simple problem: a popular plugin was pulled due to security issues, leaving users stranded. Read our origin story on how rescuing "Zurich for ClickFunnels" became the blueprint for everything we do. sudowp.com/blog/the-sudow… #SudoWP #WordPress

@sudo_wp @wpdemoapp We'll do it case by case. The plan for now is to create our own version from scratch depending on the issue and after evaluating Pro/Cons. We have a (paid) plugin for external links. It efficiently checks for links and only then does expensive processing.

Woke up after 4 hours of sleep to the worst message a founder can see: “Your website is down.” 🤯 No one could access own․page 🥲 A stressful morning, but it's fixed now. Reminder: stuff will break when you build things! Sorry to everyone who tried accessing own․page - everything is back up now 🚀
