Excellent point. Similarly, up to 2 million Vietnamese civilians were tragically killed in the Vietnam war. Since 1975, I cannot recall a single incident of Vietnamese individuals or organisations committing ‘revenge’ terror attacks against innocent US civilians.

Two days ago Ayman Mohamad Ghazali, a man in flagged for our terrorist watch list for his connections to Hezbollah, conducted a terror attack on a Jewish preschool. It was in retaliation for Israel, taking out two Hezbollah Rocket commanders. There is no mention of this in New York Times, despite it being reported by both CNN and CBS. Instead the piece emphasizes his lack of a criminal record. I’m not someone that hates media or traditional journalists. But it’s impossible to conclude anything except institutional media being hellbent on downplaying terror attacks on Jews.

We should all be outraged by the recent attack on the synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan. This is part of a growing tide of antisemitism in our country. As Americans, we must stand together and fight antisemitism, Islamophobia and all forms of racism and bigotry.

I've been called an antisemite for focusing on Israel. Me, an Israeli citizen who lived there for three decades, with a Ph.D. and post-doc on Israel, who worked for the Israeli government and served in the IDF. Apparently, I am not allowed to focus on my own country if I dare to criticize it.

This is a historical moment, and every Jew should watch this. The Heritage Foundation is the intellectual cornerstone of the Republican Party, and here it embraces Fuentes as a legitimate part of right-wing discourse. The pretense of Nazism being unacceptable on the right (it never was) is gone. This comes after Vance did not dispute claims that Judaism was based on discrimination against Christians. Yes, the American Vice President and the premier think tank of the right legitimized open antisemitism within 24 hours. How did this happen? Many on the right gave a pass to antisemitism as long as the GOP supported Israel. Even as it became more open, that was the sentiment among right-wing Israel supporters. Now they are finding that the naked antisemitism is worse, and support for Israel has eroded too. The Faustian bargain has ended predictably. The mainstream of conservatism has embraced open antisemitism. There will be no turning back.
