The fact these two cancellations happened within the same month greatly worries me for science fiction in the TV/movie industry. It just seems that people have given up on optimistic visions of the future. Not surprised with how the world seems now... 🤷‍♂️ #doctorwho #stargate

@KevertonH @TrilbeeReviews Not necessarily. If they revert to the original budget and simpler VFX (pre Disney effects) they can start whenever. Most xmas specials were filmed in September during RTD1 and Moffat. If September comes and they haven't started, then I'll worry.

Obviously take anything The Sun says with a heap of salt, but the industry talk I've been hearing over the past week (prior to The Sun article dropping) wasn't positive.

The Sun are reporting that the #DoctorWho Christmas special might be "scrapped" or pushed back to Easter 2027. TV Zone has approached the BBC for comment.

@susanfox @docm77 It's always a hit or miss. While most creators want to be left alone while with their families. I know there are alot of them who doesn't care if they're with their kids. Even know ones who would prefer to have people come up to them when they're with their kids 😅

@notch DLSS upscaling is great for budget gaming. But yes NVIDIA definitely made the 50 series weaker and made them rely too much on frame gen which is horrible.

DLSS fundamentally makes no sense. Because the graphics card is too slow to run the game at reasonable speeds, you use THE SAME HARDWARE to run a neural network to generate frames in between the existing ones.
