Personally, I think the Squadra team went about this the wrong way. I understand WHY they went this route, but it doesn’t change the fact that it diminishes the value of being in the Squadra Creators Program. Creators who have stuck by the game from the beginning, made tons of content for the game, given valuable feedback about the game, and so much more, weren’t even a consideration for an opportunity like this. Even outside of the program, you’d at least expect people from the DB community to have been in the mix of these creators. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure this event will be great, and of course, no slight to any of the creators who are part of this, but I am hoping in the future, the Squadra team at least considers the creators in their own program for these opportunities.

Not in the Squadra program personally but I think it would’ve been cool to include some of the creators in your program in your 1/2 Anni event somehow. Even a 50/50 split or something, but I’m no marketing genius so I’ll leave it to the people who know what they’re doing 🫡

I don't understand why this particular point is causing so much negativity. Game needs more recognition in the broader MOBA scene, and they're bringing in content creators from League of Legends and Warcraft to achieve that.

Pro's are the top .01% of players, creators are typically are around top 1%. The difference between them to 95% of people is almost nothing.

Based on Net Worth, if Tim Sweeney were to use his ENTIRE estimated net worth of $5.1 billion (the lower Forbes estimate from March 2026) to pay employees an annual salary of $125,000, he could fund 40,800 employees for one year BY HIMSELF. Let's assume that the devs made 125k each (obvi variables), to keep all 1000 at that rate is $125m, leaving Sweeney, at the low estimate, an annual worth of $4.9 Billion. That's assuming his stock package doesn't pop as a result of retaining that talent, mind you. These are the folks that made him this profit. As literal as you can possibly take it. What is offered is NOT commeasurate nor is it "oh how nice", it's bare minimum for locking the talent that made you a pop culture behemoth behind restrictive NDAs and taking away their security in an economic crisis. You need to save $500 million? SELL SOME SHARES AND PROTECT YOUR STAFF.
