@arthistorynews I agree but struggled like made to make out your version of the swan in the painting. For me the white puff of fabric on her headdress doesn't make sense until you see a swan's head laid bill down (a bird's eye view, if you like) and her right arm continues the neck

What a photo 😍

It's our 9th anniversary of togetherness today. Abandoned with the RSPCA twice, I was able to give these two a stable & safe home. They didn't ask to be born & they deserved to be loved & meaningfully engaged with. I saved their lives but really, they absolutely saved mine ❤️

@SarahjevsEvans Perhaps it would be a wiser decision to do this type of work in winter when there are no horseflies and you haven't destroyed the active habitat of many insects and probably mammals in the process... 🤦🏻‍♀️

Today I used an industrial handheld combine harvester and cut down 10 metres of thick undergrowth behind the house. I was bitten by 3 horse flies and one of them tried to bite my eye. After 4 long hours of work, i fell into the undergrowth and looked over and saw Barry like this

We don't have enough birds to fully train our trainees & it feels like ⌚ is up. The only reason I plod on is to provide good scientific data for @_BTO

I've had lots of stress & worry, Tree Sparrows are 33% down on last year back to where they were 2 years ago. It's really depressing & we are trying our hardest to save them. We ringed 31 nestlings tonight. Looking into a nest box & seeing healthy chicks like these lifts my heart
