Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Hon. Winfridah Mokaya, presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the Chairperson and Members of the Public Private Partnerships Petition Committee, marking a key milestone in strengthening this critical dispute resolution body. The oaths were administered by the Registrar of Tribunals, Hon. Anne Asugah. Pursuant to the Constitution and section 75 of the PPP Act, the Judicial Service Commission appointed Stephen Odhiambo Anditi (Chairperson), Anne Jepkokei Cheboi (Eng.), Dr. Brian Mutie Muithya, Dr. Leonard Kinyulusi, Eric Thige Muchiri, and Nicodemus Musyoka Mbwika as Members, and re-appointed Eunice Daristu Fedha, for a three-year term. The Tribunal plays a pivotal role in resolving PPP disputes, safeguarding investor confidence and protecting public resources. As PPPs continue to drive Kenya’s development agenda, the Committee’s work will be central to strengthening the framework and advancing national growth. In her remarks, the Chief Registrar underscored the weight of the responsibility entrusted to the Members, noting that their decisions will shape the credibility of Kenya’s PPP framework, investor confidence and the integrity of national development. She emphasized that their work must be guided by independence, impartiality and strict fidelity to the law and reminded them that the oath they have taken is a solemn commitment to serve without fear or favour and to uphold the Constitution in the public interest.
