What about in Damascus? Athens? Thessalonica? The Church kept those teachings alive. They're not in the Bible.

@OrthoBro13 @ThyPaddyDaddy Why not? The Bible (KJV) is at a 5th grade reading level. Most of the words on any given page are 2 to 4 syllables. I was already reading in the college level when I was in the 4th grade.

Liberals do not "by and large hate America." That's so ridiculous. Every liberal was weeping with pride in America when Obama was elected, lol. Cringey? Sure, but a form of pro-America pride all the same. There's a faction of genuinely radical left-wing anarchist types who do hate America, but to you, that somehow reflects every run-of-the-mill "liberal" -- as if anyone who doesn't care for oafish displays of MAGA-style "patriotism" must therefore "hate America" as such. Do you honestly think Bruce Springsteen "hates America"? Or might he just have a cringey liberal-inflected reverence of America that conflicts with the (also cringey) oafish MAGA version.

How could they have made the 250 celebration appeal to liberal America? Liberal Americans by and large hate America. They think America is an illegitimate colonialist project that doesn't deserve to exist. If liberals were running the show, the 250 celebrations would be nothing but endless grievance mongering about slavery, genocide, and oppression. No point in trying to appeal to such people.

@kluza @GrapheneOS I had the 8 pro. This phone is like .1" bigger. I also had the larger OtterBox case on my old phone with the silicone over the plastic shell. On the new phone I have the defender case. It's much smaller in feel and weight to me but that's because of my use-case

Our beliefs are not defined by what people who use GrapheneOS or donate to it believe. We decide what's acceptable within our community and we do a lot of moderation. We don't police what's done fully outside it. We clearly won't only have users, donors and supporters with beliefs aligned with ours. We don't usually allow much political discussion in our community unless it's directly related to GrapheneOS. Today has been a very good demonstration of why that's the case. Many people are unable to tolerate even a minor disagreement on semantics without being absolutely enraged over it.
