So, this guy started to complain about the sequels when I said that the book of tales and the series are two separate stories and he mentioned the sequels and I asked him why he brought them up and then he went all out on a rant. Feels like these EU purists like to use the sequels as a defense mechanism like not once I mentioned them in said post.

Sequels sucked. Disney launched damage control projects to course correct. Their Tales mini series is a direct outcome of that. Now, speaking of defence mechanisms... anyone with cursory interest in Star Wars IP can check the pulse on Disney Star Wars and its standing with fans. No one gives a shit about ST no matter how hard Disney tries to sell it as "success story". Defensive much?

Q: Which was better? One is an Expanded Universe classic that defined a two decades of Star War comics, novels, and videogames. The other is Disney's nostalgia trip that didn't have a decency to create an original logo!

Yes it does. One is a pillar upon which much of Star Wars lore stands, including the lore Disney ripped and put in their "canon". The other is couldn't even compe with its own logo and, in my eyes, was a reaction to shitty Sequels reactions. A nostalgia trip to pacify disgruntled fans. 😂
