BAHRAIN ERUPTS: Cross-Sectarian Unity Against the Monarchy Exposes Britain’s Old Divide-and-Rule Playbook What we are witnessing in Bahrain today is not just a protest - it is the beginning of the unraveling of a 150-year-old colonial inheritance. The Al Khalifa monarchy was never a natural or organic power; it was deliberately selected, installed, propped up, and sustained by the British Empire to serve as a loyal outpost for resource extraction and strategic control in the Gulf. Britain’s signature tactic - weaponizing sectarian divisions between Sunnis and Shiites to keep the population fractured and the ruling family entrenched - is now being openly rejected on the streets. Sunnis and Shiites are marching together, setting aside differences to confront the monarchy and its foreign backers. This is the exact same playbook Britain used in Kenya. In Kenya, the British colonial establishment artificially amplified tribal divisions, pitting one community against another, especially targeting those groups whose only “crime” was demanding true independence and control over their own resources. This manufactured tribalism was then deliberately entrenched in the post-independence era through toxic electoral politics. The climax of this strategy was the infamous 41 vs 1 narrative - aggressively promoted by CIA/MI6/Mossad-linked political assets Raila Odinga, Uhuru Kenyatta, and William Ruto. It directly fueled the 2007/2008 post-election violence, in which thousands were killed and hundreds of thousands displaced. Not a single high-level perpetrator was ever meaningfully punished. Instead, the very individuals who orchestrated or benefited from the bloodshed were rewarded with power, positions, and continued access to state resources. This deliberate division has kept Kenya enslaved and exploited ever since. It has allowed the British colonial establishment - working through its modern Western offshoots in the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia - to maintain economic dominance, loot public resources, de-industrialize the country, and keep successive puppet regimes (from Uhuru Kenyatta to William Ruto) in power while ordinary Kenyans remain divided and weakened. The parallel is unmistakable: whether in Bahrain or Kenya, the strategy is identical - sow artificial divisions (sectarian or tribal), install or sustain pliable local elites, extract wealth, and suppress genuine popular sovereignty. The only difference is the label. Today in Bahrain, the people are beginning to reject this inherited colonial trap. In Kenya, the same toxic dynamics persist, kept alive by the very political class that benefited from past violence and continues to serve foreign interests. The lesson is clear: as long as these externally engineered divisions remain in place, true sovereignty and economic independence will remain impossible.

The Game of Thrones theme was composed by Ramin Djawadi, who is of Iranian descent. Hearing this melody played with Persian instruments and the daf drum is absolutely beautiful.

Why is Nigeria is still charging Kenyans ~$80 for a single entry visa even though Kenya is visa-free for all Nigerians (and all* Africans)? Is it time to match their energy and reintroduce visas for them?
