@LaurelKLevey Sean Astin didn't break GR1 1. It didn't exist until after LOR. You need to retract your statement. LOR was non-jurisdictional. You are president of a local that doesn't have background coverage. Your local members are in the exact same situation that Sean was in.

Ballots are out! I’m honored to be running on the 2025 Coalition slate alongside an incredible group of candidates dedicated to protecting and strengthening our union. Together, we can make a powerful difference for all SAG-AFTRA members. thecoalition2025.org

@TerryMoran thank you for speaking truth. We are in a time when people get punished when they say the emperor has no clothes, but someone must and there is always a cost, but you are just the tip of that sword.

@LalaworldC @Disneyland Our son has autism. We were grilled for over a 1/2 hr with intrusive, possibly illegal per the ADA, questioning by people who are clearly not trained to understand the disabilities they’re tasked with assisting. 3 different people failed at their jobs
English

@OstrowRon @Disneyland Oh dear … can you explain what happened ? I’m a Disney Stockholder and would never go to the the over crammed Gen z/ Millenial staffed park ever again
English

@Disneyland your staff at the disability kiosk need serious retraining: Jackie, Ryan. Their
intrusive grilling and lack of understanding ruined the day from the start.

… Just for the record. History is repeating itself

March 1933 The Enabling Act becomes law in Germany, giving the chief executive power enforce his own laws without checks and balances. The passing of the Act marked the formal transition from democratic republic to totalitarian dictatorship. 6 months later, it was a 1 party state

@JoshMalina This voice deal is actually very good. It mirrors our existing interactive contract in terms and conditions and is a job creator as this work would be non-union otherwise. It dies not kill jobs in the long run either as the licenses have to be renegotiated when they run out.

Happy birthday to @OstrowRon, 12 time (13 if you count the voting special) West Wing cast member and @sagaftra Negotiating Committee member.

English

@BenZelevansky It wasn't given away. That provision in the contract was untouched. There is a new section called self-tapes. In self-tape, you only get paid when asked to memorize.
English

The biggest reason I’m likely to vote No is that we gave up audition pay - a tremendously valuable provision - in exchange for practically nothing and at a time when the labor we expend to audition is at an all-time high.

At this point, most SAG-AFTRA members understand that the new contract is terrible. But even some who don’t like it are considering voting yes because they’ve heard a “no” would mean wiping the slate clean and starting over. This isn’t a good reason to vote for a bad deal.🧵

@rgbernman I have refuted a lot of what she has said elsewhere, particularly about background. She gets a lot wrong.
English

@rgbernman Not quite. The informed consent has to be reasonable specific about how it will be used in regard to the particular project. They can't just throw the kitchen sink in. But yes, they write the consent and you have to decide if you agree or want to try ton negotiate better.
English

@OstrowRon Apparently because the MOA doesn’t outline what specific consent means, studios allegedly have the power to put whatever they want in the consent forms themselves.
English

@rgbernman @LadyKateBond Regardless of arbitration, it was not a proposal from either side so, which it could have been a negotiation issue, it wasn't.
English

@OstrowRon @LadyKateBond Thanks that was my larger point that it wouldn’t survive arbitration after mostly 80 yrs of non enforcement, so I don’t see it as negotiable issue in this contract.
English

@rgbernman Not sure I understand. Each scan requires specific informed consent. In order to use the scan outside that consent, you must be paid extra & can negotiate above the minimums which are laid out in the contract. If you have leverage, you can get more & if not, then scale.
English

@OstrowRon Can you speak to the decisions around the AI consent clauses that studios will implement?Apparently NOT including language for consent forms that specifies use or compensation means vulnerability for future compensation for performers, but what was the process for arriving there?
English

@johannagriese @rgbernman @LadyKateBond Enforcement has nothing to do with the negotiation. It wasn't on the table, it wasn't traded away, it wasn't discussed as something to trade away. Kate was not in the room and she ascribes motives and actions to people that she has no knowledge of. That's not an insult.
English

@rgbernman @OstrowRon @LadyKateBond ? Doesn’t matter what you think of it. If it was already in the contract it should be enforced
