I am from Ludhiana and this is absolutely true. Valmiki samaj even announced Punjab close today because of police beating sanitation workers in Barnala. The situation is so bad that garbage is piling up as sanitation workers are on strike.
AAP government has all the money to distribute freebies, they send 3k cash to women, but not money to pay these workers to keep houses and streets clean. The demand of ₹40k per month is not absurd considering the inflation.
Earlier there was strike of PSPCL (Electricity workers), which they called off 2 days back. Due to strike, if electricity was gone in the middle of light, you wouldn’t get it back next morning. Factories are losing 1000s everyday in diesel costs because we don’t get 24 hours electricity.

Turning 33 is so brutal because it no longer becomes about potential. You either are, or you are not. Can, or can not. There's no more ambiguity. There's nobody else to blame, no more programmed "growth spurts". At 33 it becomes all up to you.

as someone building in ai from india, sarvam is pretty much the only frontier lab i genuinely look forward to hearing from.
krutrim pivoted to cloud and that makes sarvam uniquely important in a way that it's representing the ecosystem we're all trying to build.
and i think that's why a lot of us are feeling pure disappointment for this very cheap trick they pulled here.
epoch itself was honestly a great event. bulbul's hindi tts is one of the best i've heard, a speech-to-text model reaching global sota is an incredible feat & i'm looking forward to a sovereign 1t+ model. this is all great progress and honestly none of these launches needed help.
so why throw all of that goodwill to sell a beta product than what could have simply been a demo instead of a horrendous dick-measuring graph?
i'm not expecting a reply from sarvam people, nor do i think anyone will publicly acknowledge this post. but i think the leadership needs to strategize that there are plenty of narratives you can craft for investors but the "builder's edition" should hold itself to a truer standard.
hopefully this was just one bad epoch. looking forward to the next one
