Firefighters successfully extricated a trapped driver from their vehicle after it became wedged underneath an overpass in #Ottawa this morning.   At approx. 08:40, the Ottawa Fire Services Communications Division received a call reporting a vehicle had driven up and under the overpass at the 417 West & Eagleson Rd and the vehicle had become wedged with the single occupant trapped inside. Upon arrival, Firefighters confirmed the driver was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters used cribbing to stabilize the vehicle before using specialized tools to remove the windshield to extricate the trapped driver. At 09:02, the driver was safely extricated from the vehicle and had not sustained any injuries. Firefighters tied a rope to the frame of the vehicle and secured the other end to a cement pillar beside the overpass until the tow truck arrived. We cleared the scene at 09:45 and the scene was left in control with the @OPP_ER. #OttNews
