Where can we find peace and rest in a troubled world? In the midst of political, social and economic problems, and wars in the world, we can find peace, rest, encouragement and hope in Jesus Christ.

Annually, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. But why does it matter? The resurrection of Jesus gives us hope beyond the grave.

HON. KADAGA THIS IS AWARD Hon. @RebeccaKadagaUG nominated me for and just got to know about it last week. Yes, I have gotten so many awards in my almost 53 yrs but knowing people or a person can wake up and nominate you is special, it’s a blessing. When you have a background like me, born in abject poverty, went to a children’s home, started out as a cleaner because u failed in school. You wake up daily work like you have achieved nothing, some days you succeed , some days you hardly make it. Some ventures thrive , others fail which is normal. You keep asking God to help you keep your head up, give you life since without it, nothing can happen. But the lords favor from many of you out there is actually humbling and keeps me asking questions like, why? How?

The book of Acts is about the Holy Spirit empowering ordinary people to do extraordinary things to tell the world about Jesus. Will you be among those the Holy Spirit is using to continue what started in Acts?

May Peace Prevail in Uganda Almighty and everlasting God, maker of Uganda, I pray peace will prevail in Uganda during and after elections this week. I pray violence, lawlessness and anarchy will not break out during and after elections. May the people in Uganda live in harmony

Through the church, God is changing the narrative about Africa. Instead of being referred to as “the dark continent”, God is raising Africa to be His light to the nations. Africa, arise and shine for Jesus!

We’ve been honored to host Watoto Children’s Choir from Watoto Church at Redlands Church of Christ, Brisbane this weekend.Their songs and stories touched everyone and several people gave their lives to Jesus. It’s Africa’s time to tell the world about Jesus.

“For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man” ( 2 Corinthians 8: 21). Integrity is doing what is RIGHT before GOD and PEOPLE.

I grew up without a father. But I’ve learnt principles that guide me in my role as a father in the church. In advanced countries like Australia, many people have no interest in the church. However, it’s in the church people can learn to be responsible citizens and good parents.

Today is Father’s Day in Australia. To some people, Father’s Day means nothing due to painful experiences they’ve had with their fathers. However, though you haven’t had a a good relationship with your father you can be a good parent. The church has taught me to be a good father.

@grcastleberry @MbithiK1 To that list, I would add a repentant heart/attitude, a passion to win others (people who are spiritually lost) to Jesus, a passion to serve others, a desire to be fellowship with other believers.

@wekesa_amos This is a sobering reality for us as Ugandans. We need to our house in order first.

Ugandan Economy Visas/ travel advisory/ airfares Uganda is a land locked country and our only real city Kampala is far away from others neighborhood. Very few people in the neighborhood can wake up and just decide to either drive or fly to Uganda. Road access is very tricky, Just that limits business. Had a quick entry into Kenya and back last weekend and on the flight back, I dived into deep thoughts about Uganda and the future. What made me dive into that? A friend bought an air ticket in Nairobi on flight link from Wilson airport to Arusha airport. The business between Tanzania and Kenya especially travel is massive. From Friday to Sunday, hotels in Arusha, Airbnbs are full of Kenyans so are entertainment places and yes, Kenya gets similar numbers which means spend on the ground is massive. It’s easier to drive from Nairobi to Arusha , Mombasa to Arusha and vice versa and flights are very affordable, that enhances on ground earning opportunities. Wilson airport is the alternative airport to JKIA and Arusha just became an international airport a month ago and only 50kms from Kilimanjaro airport. That air ticket bought last minute was only usd 120 one way and we both left for 50 minutes flights. @RwenzoriMarathn bought our UTB colleague a ticket on @UG_Airlines at usd 580 economy. Imagine this was a flag off ceremony of Kenyans coming @RwenzoriMarathn organized through team work, high commission Kenya, Rwenzori marathon and now Uganda tourism board that has come on board. Ofcourse we have made sure @UG_Airlines gets business, we have been pushing Rwenzori marathon and I would expect a ticket a UTB staff to cost say usd 300. I will write about how Kenya airways has played a key role in growing Kenya’s tourism and how they work hand in hand with Kenya tourism board and tourism fraternity. If you hear Kenya for example getting 306k Americans and Uganda gets only 17k, it’s because Kenya airways has worked well with Kenya tourism board and the tourism fraternity. They work like bed fellows. As a people, Ugandans we are limited by visas in trying to access business opportunities around the world , we are limited by negative travel advisory and now limited by cost of travel. If you see Ethopia airlines carrying 19m passengers making usd 7.6bn between June 2024 and June 2025. There is deliberate efforts between different players. There is no way a country can be land locked, visa challenged, negative travel advisory challenged can ever economically grow. As Ugandans, these thoughts must pre occupy our minds and discussions and if they don’t, don’t listen to those stories of GDP this, GDP that. We can never grow if we aren’t doing business with those who are already developed or developing, never.

Have you heard of digital missionaries or digital disciple makers? As a Christian are you using social media to influence people’s thinking and behavior with godly beliefs and values, and attract them to Jesus Christ? Don’t just be a digital consumer. Be a digital missionary.
