She was rescued with her family across unsafe roads and over a bridge destroyed by the Russian army. Thanks to supporters like you, Ann and her family are now safely in a Save Ukraine evacuation hub where they are being looked after.

In December alone Save Ukraine rescued over 1,600 Ukrainian children and families from conflict zones under constant threat of heavy shelling. Ann (in the center in red), is a six year old who was evacuated from the Donetsk region with her mother under active shelling.

Included in the rescue was 11 year old Eva who was taken while her mother, a Ukrainian soldier, was in the hospital after being wounded on the battlefield. We are so thrilled to see these families reunited but our important work with Save Ukraine is not done yet.

Another 20 Ukrainian children have been rescued from Russian captivity. These children were told they were going to summer camp but were never returned to their families. The children were missing for 5 months! Can you imagine the pain their families must have gone through?
