@SCentralized 1. It's not essential to the MMP, but I would say it's essential for a different, unique view and insight into the clone war. If you liked No Prisoners, you'll like RC 2. Absolutely don't read them out of order. To get anything from the series you need to read it start to finish

I want to read Order 66 because of Callista, but I haven't read any other Republic Commando novels. That leads me to two questions: #1 is the Republic Commando series an essential part of the CWMMP? #2 can I read this separate from the other RC novels? I've also never played.
