I honestly hate how "choices matter" in a lot of narrative games. a bunch of random choices and some fucking ghoul at the end with a scorecard. So we're implementing a story where your choices matter in a thoughtful but subtle way.

We've got a new game in Next Fest this year. Vampire Hunter: Nightrise plays a bit like Bioshock, but with more of a focus on exploration. In our playtests, we found that some players had a really hard time understanding Kill Joy. It's just a weird game, man.

@Pale_Voyager Actually I've been working on it, off and on! Hard to say though man. Nobody bought part 2. I don't want to go fucking broke making something nobody wants. The games industry is almost literally on fire at this point.

Environmental storytelling is a great art form.

@Soldier02PEBR you have to find all the baddie echoes in the different scenes to find the ultimate baddie wisdom... the unfathomable concept that can allow you to escape safely.
