@Batman2242 Stop lying. We paid for private health insurance for 4-5 years until we completed the study and got PR. Only skilled immigrants who come on a PR get Medicare, and their numbers are not huge. No one can get Centrelink until they have lived in Australia for 4 years on PR.

We built this country, Australia, into what it is today. Why do immigrants get a free pass to benefit from our hard work ? Sorry they should not get free healthcare Centrelink Government handouts as soon as they come here.

I came from Greece 38 yrs ago. I’ve always thought if you migrate it is YOUR responsibility to fit in and be thankful. Bring good bits (often food) and leave the bad behind. Very interesting experience - a young progressive gay black man on the train in DC stopped me and said that he liked my RM Williams boots. I said thank you, they are Australia’s finest shoes. I had my MAGA hat on, but he was chill. We chatted politely about the 250th celebrations and then he went back to talking to his friend. We're the only party which supports greater choices and greater oversight for parents in the education of their children. We're the only party which wants to scrap net zero and bring genuine cost-of-living relief to Australian workers and their families. We're the only party which wants to slash mass migration to reduce housing demand and ban foreign ownership of residential property to increase housing supply. We're the only party which has a policy to slash the out-of-control government spending that is driving high inflation and high mortgage payments. We're the only party that puts Australian families first. As I said before, stop your lies. Stop misconstruing my words into something they're not. I support paid parental leave.
