Can anyone tell me why my parents' generation could come to Australia without speaking the language and penniless but still were able to get work and educate their children without significant welfare, but some Aborigines can't? Have we not earned a voice too?

Excellent ABC should be shut down, I would just wind it up. And Start again with a charter based on Science, Facts and balanced debate. Shut it down, make it a paid service. Government ruined it. KEEP rural ABC for fire's floods and safety. Or give it a Constitution where it must uphold values of balanced reporting, scientific scrutiny, and integrity. It can be sued if it fails to uphold those values. And people will get fired.

Of course they will still be getting paid - while on strike - if they were not, they prob would not strike.... The union heavies will use standover, as they normally do, and it all gets sorted, including the back pay - when the "dispute is resolved" - for a small "Union Negoiator Operators fee" of course...
