A lot of people are finding out that getting an MBA is an absolute waste of time and money, especially if you are not going to a top 7 target school No one needs a highly paid business hire to repeat strategy acronyms, case studies and draw 2x2 matrices when AI can do all of this for free A lot of investment bankers and private equity professionals refer to their MBA as the "2-year vacation" to take a break from being burned out after working 80 hours/wk for multiple years The reality is that the only value in your MBA is the people you will build relationships with. It is a very expensive networking club, and only worth paying for if you are going to the most exclusive ones (HBS, GSB, Wharton etc.)

Salah satu kritik dalam kerusuhan Mei 1998 adalah lambatnya respon ABRI. Pada puncak kerusuhan tanggal 14, Panglima ABRI Wiranto malah membawa pejabatnya berangkat ke Malang untuk upacara. Setelah Presiden Soeharto pulang dari Mesir, barulah ABRI bergerak memadamkan kerusuhan. Seolah ada pembiaran kerusuhan sebagai prakondisi untuk memaksa mundurnya Soeharto. TGPF menyebutkan bahwa kerusuhan tidak terjadi secara spontan, melainkan ada provokator yang datang dengan truk, memicu massa untuk menjarah atau membakar, lalu menghilang begitu saja. Saksi mata di beberapa mal yang terbakar melaporkan melihat pria-pria berambut cepak, berbadan tegap, dan menggunakan sepatu bot militer yang memandu massa untuk menjebol pintu mal atau menyiramkan bensin. Seperti tragedi di Plaza Sentral Klender yang menewaskan ratusan orang, saat mereka masuk dan menjarah, mal dibakar dan dikunci dari luar. Para pemimpin militer yang bersaing saat itu, yaitu Panglima ABRI Wiranto dan Panglima Kostrad Prabowo Subianto sama-sama membantah bahwa mereka merencanakan atau membiarkan kerusuhan.

12 Mei 1998, empat mahasiswa Universitas Trisakti ditembak mati di kampus mereka saat melakukan demonstrasi menuntut reformasi. Tragedi Trisakti ini menyulut gelombang kerusuhan Mei 1998. Sembilan hari kemudian Presiden Soeharto menyatakan berhenti dari jabatannya. 📽️ BBC
