@emilywrayburn Precisely the kind of example which erodes my faith in humanity, and I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.

@PAMason16 Yep, same! A certain high profile Hollywood court case whose result has just been announced was filling the TTs and I really needed to hide it or I was going to end up in a sinkhole.

Why does Twitter only let you say "I'm not interested in this" or "this is harmful/spammy" on some trending topics? I want them all to go away.

@emilywrayburn Wow. That's just wow. I was only lamenting the other day how much I struggle with this and avoid Twitter now because I don't have the brain space to deal.

@PAMason16 So I'm using Chrome and there's a bunch but the one I have just installed on my work computer is just called "Hide Twitter Trends". I don't have a trends menu, or a Follow recs or any of that on the right hand side. Just the search box. It's great.

@PAMason16 I like audiobooks, but it is time consuming. I usually pay someone to proof them, but I needed to re-read this one anyway since I’m writing a sequel.

@GoblinWriter Yeah fair enough. Very ‘duh’ question but I was hoping there were tricks. The prospect of listening for hours sounds about as fun as a sharp stick in the eye to me. I’ve never enjoyed audiobooks, haha 😂

@PAMason16 Since we've been WFH, we've been using OneDrive and the online Office apps, and I have been caught out by Auto correct a number of times! Dunno why, but changing it to AU English never seems to stick.

I say this as an Australian who uses Australian English, which is basically just British English with some regional variations, can we get over the whole hate of American English? Languages and their written equivalents change over time and across space, it's how they work.
