I can assure you, he made me laugh. And yes, he does require an IQ above 80 for you to find him funny (I suppose)… but that seems like a reasonable bar. lol 🙏

A few truths concerning the government from Romans 13… 1. Government is not a human invention, but ordained by God. 2. Civil authorities are servants/ministers/agents of God (whether they know it or not) 3. Government has a limited, two-fold purpose: promote the common good and restrain evil. They are ministers of justice on behalf of God. 4. God’s people are called to honor all those in authority. But honor does not mean blind obedience. We confront and petition on behalf of Christ our King. 5. God is sovereign over every earthly authority. He has appointed his son to the highest office as King of kings and Lord of lords.

@ByronYork To call any of the opinions a majority opinion is a stretch. If the law was not struck down as unconstitutional, and wanted tweaking, That's congress' call, not the court's.

As a non-lawyer, I read Kavanaugh's opinion and am persuaded. I read Gorsuch and think he's got some good points, too. Then I see there are *seven* opinions and think it must be a really close, not-so-clear call. Given all that, I think: With all that division, maybe they should have deferred to the president's judgment. And I have the sneaking suspicion that Trump might have won, had he been a little less capricious in declaring tariffs, even using the same authority at issue in the SCOTUS case.
