Annual Festival of Eritreans in Italy held on 29th & 30th June this weekend. FM Osman Saleh addressed participants on progress of peace process, regional issues & domestic development priorities. Two-day event featured cultural shows, photo exhibition/ miscellaneous programmes.

استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم بقصر الاتحادية الرئيس أسياس أفورقي، رئيس دولة إريتريا، والذي يقوم بزيارة رسمية لمصر، حيث أقيمت مراسم الاستقبال الرسمي وتم استعراض حرس الشرف وعزف السلامين الوطنيين.

"Asmara Marathon" - fielding over 60 athletes from Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan & Tanzania - was held today in the streets of the capital. Eritrea's Mehari Tsegai won the race. Eritrean women athletes also competed in a half-marathon concurrent race.

President Isaias Afwerki returned home at midday today after his visit to Egypt. Expansion of bilateral ties, continental & other issues of mutual concern, and, the situation in the Sudan were the major themes discussed during the two day visit.
