@Aravis2416 @EthanLevins2 @maddhermit How did he bomb a Russian dormitory in Ukraine? Are you really trying to lead people to believe that a Russian held structure on Ukrainian land is some boy school? Very likely a command center of some sort. Highly unlikely to be a boy’s dormitory.

@philosoph25 @catturd2 Sometimes antibiotics, even if it was on them, don't prevent sepsis. He may not have gotten enough help fast enough as well, it can take a turn for the worse suddenly.

None of you people know how to read. Do young people die from sepsis in the US? Yes. SHOULD they be dying if they are otherwise healthy (healthy means: no immunocompromising conditions or medications)? Then the answer is no. Why? Because in the IDEAL situation, you recognize illness and get antibiotics in a timely manner, and your youth and not having any compromising conditions buys you that time to get help. It’s that simple.

I’m shocked that there’s so many people who legit eat out 3 meals a day, every day I actually don’t think it’s possible to prefer Sysco slop over home cooked food and think the ppl doing this have never had a from scratch meal.

@catturd2 Someone dropped the ball somewhere or he had some sort of unknown underlying condition that was causing him to be immunocompromised. Otherwise healthy people don’t die from sepsis like this in the US. It just doesn’t happen unless someone fucked up.

My husband passed away at 42. SEPSIS. Healthy Monday was healthy Monday passed by Tuesday evening. We took Christmas portraits the Sunday before. There were no signs. Our kids were 2, 6, and 8. It was the week of Thanksgiving. We thought he had a stomach bug. Only complaints Tuesday were stomach pain, fever, and diarrhea.

Kyle Busch died of sepsis caused by pneumonia. I’m sorry, but this makes little to no sense. With the money and access to treatment he had - someone either missed something or misdiagnosed something. How was he so sick with pneumonia that it became sepsis, yet 2 days prior he was kart racing with his kid? If his pneumonia were that far along, would he not have been damn near bed ridden? And what was his team doing letting him race while being that sick to begin with? thegatewaypundit.com/2026/05/nascar…

@1ssve I don't get these stats because my son and his friends do drink, and all the adults I know seem to drink, some of them too much. Alcohol to me is still popular and widespread

Nope, I'm with the kids on this one. The prices of used cars right now is absolutely outrageous. Yeah, no one is entitled to a new car, 100%, but anything over 100k miles is going to be an absolute money pit. Not even 10 years ago I got a Mazda 3 with 7K (yes, 7000) miles on it for 15k. I still have it. Same car now would be well over 20k. This affects ALL of us. They want you to lease cars. Eventually, they want you to share cars. You will own nothing and be happy.
LibertyJ@LibertyJen

This was legit a 5 second search on Auto Trader. All these cars have less than 200k miles. All under $7k

@Real_Life_Kira @JJTDFB9 @giveashitnature No. The washing machine does not make the water cold, it's just taking up water as is from your pipes without working to change the temperature. Same as using cold water faucet in sink or shower. When you choose to heat it, then your hot water heater has to kick in

@JJTDFB9 @giveashitnature Underground water coming from Pipelines is always cool, I am not talking about that. I am talking about the mechanical cooling/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration, doesn't these consume more energy ??

Give A Shit About Nature@giveashitnature·
About 90% of the energy a washing machine uses goes to heating the water. The washer itself uses almost nothing. Switch to cold and your laundry's energy footprint drops by roughly 90% per load. For an average household, that's around 1,500 pounds of CO2 a year and cash in your pocket, just from one setting on a dial. Modern detergents are formulated for cold. Tide, Persil, the generic store brands all work as well or better at 60°F than they used to at 120°F. The exception is heavy grease stains and bedding from sick people, where warm or hot still helps. Everything else: cold. Cold also extends the life of your clothes. Hot water breaks down elastic, fades dyes, and shrinks fibers. Your jeans last longer. Your dark shirts stay dark. Same clean. Less energy. Cheaper power bill. Clothes that survive.

Florida golf lobby pushing HARD for a terrible policy. Permanent standard time is the way. You want kids going to school in the dark and the sun rising at nearly 9am for much of the country in the winter? So some retirees can golf longer in Florida? NO! @SaveStandard

@cherryxprentiss One of the reasons you don't see them anymore is that the original ones had Metal Handles and with the proliferation of microwaves, you could not microwave in them without sparking or the box falling apart if you removed them. So they made other boxes

MOTHER AND PARTNER ABANDON TODDLERS AGE 5 AND 3 IN WOODS AFTER BLINDFOLDING THEM AFTER TAKING THEM TO PORTUGAL Heartless parents allegedly blindfolded their terrified 5-year-old and 3-year-old sons, told them it was a twisted “game to drive away the devil”, buried a knife in the woods and then abandoned the boys deep in remote Portuguese forest. The French brothers Barthélémy (5) and Zacharie (3) were instructed they could only remove their blindfolds once they found the buried knife and used it to cut them off. Mother Marine, 41, from Colmar in eastern France, and her partner Marc had driven more than 1,000 miles from France to Portugal specifically to carry out the alleged abandonment near Alcácer do Sal. The toddlers dug desperately in the dirt for several minutes before Barthélémy finally took their blindfolds off only to realise their parents had completely vanished. They wandered alone for hours, ending up crying and screaming on the side of the quiet N235 rural road between Alcácer do Sal and Comporta around 7pm Tuesday. A local couple who found them said the boys were “terrified”, covered in dirt and bruises with one nursing a grazed knee, desperately calling out for their father. Each boy had only a small backpack containing spare clothes, pieces of fruit and water bottles, nothing else, no ID. Both children have since been given a clean bill of health in hospital (toxicology confirmed they were not drugged) and placed into foster care. Portuguese police have opened an urgent child abandonment case while French authorities are investigating neglect, with the boys’ grandmother and separated biological father having already reported them missing. Marine's mother, the boys' maternal grandmother, reported the children's disappearance to police, telling them they had been abducted by their mother. The boys' father, who is separated from Marine, also filed a child abduction report to police. Colmar prosecutor Jean Richert told Le Parisien: 'He's like everyone else, he doesn't understand. The mother and Marc are now at the centre of the international probe.

No there is a reason at 41… **For a 41-year-old (closest CDC age group: 35-44), here are the top 10 leading causes of death in the US (2023 data, latest detailed breakdown available):** 1. Cancer (malignant neoplasms) 2. Unintentional injuries (accidents, overdoses, etc.) 3. Heart disease 4. Chronic liver disease 5. Suicide 6. Diabetes 7. Stroke 8. Chronic lower respiratory disease 9. Homicide 10. Kidney disease (nephritis) Numbers drop sharply after the top 3. Data from CDC WISQARS/NCHS. Individual risk varies by lifestyle, health, location.

I didn’t want to say this out loud… but I can’t ignore it anymore. I regret my vote. I believed things would shift—toward peace, toward stability, toward putting the country first again. That’s not what’s happening. What I’m seeing now feels way too familiar… just rebranded. People aren’t getting relief—they’re getting squeezed harder. Prices aren’t easing—they keep climbing. And the global entanglements everyone promised would slow down? They haven’t. At some point, you have to stop defending a decision just because you made it. This stopped being about personalities for me. It’s about results. And the reality is… this isn’t what I voted for.
