I had to take my mother to the hospital for a quick procedure and then drive her home cause she was all zonked out on meds. As we’re leaving she says “is that one of those little robots?” The nurse and I look at each other. “He’s so cute” Then I see what she’s pointing at.

But even so, she's floored: "Oh my god, this can't be real. This can't be real. Parents, is this real?" This is the everyday reality hitting so many families right now. A basic need like fixing your kid's teeth turns into a massive financial gut punch—thousands out of pocket, even with insurance, while you're already dealing with life’s other curveballs. Kids shouldn't have to go without straight teeth and confidence because orthodontics costs more than a used car. Parents shouldn't have to choose between braces and bills. Who's been hit with a braces quote that made you do a double-take? Or is this just what we Americans have to deal with in 2026?

The action then cuts to New York City for a brief scene with Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy, who is working in a corporate office building under the name "Anne." The script drops hints about what’s to come: Her dad, a photojournalist, is overly protective, and has moved them around a lot after Nova was kidnapped as a young child. And all the vampires that Buffy buried in the show’s 2003 series finale, when the Hellmouth collapsed in on itself, taking Sunnydale down with it, have been awakened. Growing up in the ‘90s, you could get a cultural education from watching classic films and brilliant kids’ TV. Today those have been replaced by illiterate livestreamers & conspiracy-addled tiktoks. They haven’t seen Casablanca; they haven’t heard of King Arthur. It’s bleak.

@Valistryingg @CarineK Not really. TV has changed a lot. I like Youtube myself as an adult now and find it interesting to watch hobbyist content creators like Booktube. Older TV shows still exist for them, neither is better than the other

Genuine question, what do kids and tweens watch these days? What’s their High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Cheetah Girls, Wizards of Waverley Place, Camp Rock, Sonny with a Chance, That’s so Raven, Lizzie McGuire,Suite Life,etc? We had so much, and they seemingly have nothing?

@MyQuietInterval @FoxNews It's supposed to manually let you open a door from inside for safety feature but mine was not - this is a regular car, not tesla, but I can't boast mine would have been better in the case of this tragic story.

Dude at work asked me if I had kids. I said no. He said not yet. I said not ever. He said. No not yet. I said no not ever. This went on back-and-forth about five times. Is there a way I can get him in trouble for this? Doesn’t seem appropriate.

@quesadaaa_ It's annoying but not legal harassment to me to bother with unless he starts bringing it up again, then you can say it's creative an uncomfortable, hostile work environment.

@patmaherjfm @MbarkCherguia There aren't always places to move, some of these flights are too booked. Besides, I'm sure they may have already bought extra seats to accommodate the space for the dog, so those seats are paid for.

@MbarkCherguia seems like the is bothering people.... tbf they should try to move the dog. if it was me im on a plane with a dog and its upsetting a child id be happy to move, not everybody likes dogs..

🚨Apparently this child started crying because there was a dog on the plane. Service animals are legally allowed to fly - and this happens more often than people realize. So what’s the right move here?

@PMbuli76256 @MbarkCherguia The chances of a person with canine/feline allergies to be exposed to their dander on an airplane, is nearly 100%, given the number of such animals in the other passengers' homes. The person with allergies must either take meds, or travel private.
