A lot of the "defending" you do for nannies or helpers is a projection of how you see them. Hence you say taking care of kids is "Not that deep". To you, their uniform is branding for what you look down upon and something they should be ashamed of.
A branding of their "Not that deep" job. You will never question pilots wearing uniform because that is a deep job for you even though a uniform doesn't help you fly the plane better.
