Tuesday Recruiting Notes (7-16-24) I’m getting this question a lot recently…”Coach is my offer still good?” We have covered this quite extensively before but just as a reminder it’s extremely important to ask questions like the following when you are speaking with your recruiter- 1. Is this a committable offer? 2. How many prospects have you offered at my position? 3. How many are you taking in this class at my position? 4. Where do I rank on your prospect board, at my position? 5. Have you taken any commits at this position already? Asking these questions are perfectly acceptable to your contact. It helps you make an informed decision and it also lets you know the demand/situation you are in, in regards to your offer. These questions and then staying in contact help eliminate any awkwardness when you’re ready to commit and there are no spots available. I also think the majority of that responsibility is on the prospect, as many would take a constant update from a coach as “pressure to commit”. Look around all you want, but look in the mirror if you play the game too long.
