@wildlifeact @TimesLIVE This is the ONLY park in Africa that has ALWAYS had black and white rhino roaming on it...such a special place and to think it is in the crosshairs of poachers who are waiting to change that status - we cannot allow that to happen. Talk about rhino today & let others know!!

@PhilippHenschel of @PantheraCats has analysed samples from Gabon and (I think) Congo, which links our relict population to the South towards Botswana.

@LeeWhiteCBE We would be very interested to get a genetic sample from that and any other historic lions in Gabon to inform the African Lion Genome Project we are doing in collaboration with lion conservationists across Africa.
