@lucasaganronald Hard to call it changing the game, I'm pretty sure they did that on some (not all) TDF stages last year and even if not, then UAE have been sitting at the back a lot, but that's probably more down to the thing they didnt really have power to stay upfront.

@BenjiNaesen @Nicogeay Like even SRAM's lowest officially supported gearing for road is 46-33 crankset with 10-36 cassette, 33/36 ~0.91 so still harder gear ratio than AVDB used. I don't really expect SRAM to do anything in this space, cause they keep pushing 1x, but please Shimano, do something

And these are pros, while they sell a lot of products to amateurs. What pros need for Angliru, amateurs need already for ~7%

@dwhq_ @cyclingontnt In this case this actually gives you more range. If you go with two chainrings up front (let's use 46/33 to match the top gear) then with the biggest 2x cassette being 10-36 you have harder gear (33-36 is ~0.92, while 46-52 is ~0.88). The jumps are obviously horrendous tho

@LucGrefte Pretty sure the currently existing di2 road shifters are compatible with the new mtb/grx wireless RD's. The only thing that doesnt make it easy is the freehub body, where on SRAM you can put mtb cassette on road freehub with addition of a spacer, right?
