Enjoyed a long conversation with Parma Education Association President Norm Baker at Luna's Deli & Restaurant on York Road. He is a fierce advocate for public education students, especially special education students, teachers, and paraprofessionals. He is also one of my trusted advisors who helps me serve Ohio better. Today Parma City Hall hosted the 4th Graders from @PCSDgreenvalley. They asked great questions and did a mock council meeting. @parmaschools #parmaproud #pcsdproud

At last night’s council meeting, council and I recognized Seminoles Youth Football & Cheer 4th-grade football players, cheerleaders and coaches for their Ohio Gridiron Youth Football Association League Championship. The head coach kindly bestowed me with a championship ring.

We had our annual Grandfriends Day today. Our students enjoyed showing their special visitors their classrooms, the book fair, and of course their creative performances. Our third graders wowed the crowd with "When I am a grandfriend.." #pcsdproud

Our third graders got a chance to learn about the history of the PCSD today with a visit from the Parma Schools' Historical Society. Our students got to see spelling books from 1890, a gym uniform from the 1950s and even a yearbook that two of our GV teachers are in!#pcsdproud

We celebrated our students' successes of the 1st quarter at our Quarterly Awards ceremonies today. This is Mrs. Marconi's favorite day because we spotlight our kiddos! Way to go, Sprouts! #pcsdproud #Cultureofachievement

Before our most recent Leadership for Tomorrow visit with @ParmaSchools Green Valley 4th graders, @ATT External Affairs Director Tony Costanzo presented us with a $5,500 check from AT&T. The company supports the program, which teaches students about how local government works.
