BREAKING: The Public and Commercial Services union @pcs_union has elected @FranHeathcote as its first woman general secretary. Fran, who has been the union’s president since 2019, will succeed Mark Serwotka as the leader of the UK’s largest union for civil servants.

The legal service the union provides to reps & members is not fit for purpose. They are inconsistent and fraught with delays and inaccuracies. @Marion4GS and I will change this so all members can access timely, quality legal advice & support. It's the minimum you should expect.

We can't win for members when so few workers are in the union. In order to build proper union power we need ambitions above the current 50% membership density. Only @Marion4GS and myself have the desire and the plan to make PCS a supermajority union.
