@StatisticUrban Or we could have progressive property taxes based on home valuation that would tax people with more expensive homes at higher rates while allowing people purchasing less expensive starter or downsize home to have lower costs.
That should be agnostic of the age of the homeowner

Really, they should probably pay more in property taxes.
Efficiently distributing housing is a far more important goal than ensuring Boomers can hang on to large houses that growing families need simply for sentimental reasons.
Nancy Mace@NancyMace
Our seniors should not pay property taxes.

@abby_mueller_ I’ll give you a hint
It starts with an H
and ends with an arden

@Bob_Janke Counterpoint: Subject matter expertise and the ability to motivate/engage/manage in a way that gets results for others is a different skillset than that needed to get results for oneself.

@amyewalter I’m old enough to remember the 2012 GOP autopsy which told them they had to moderate on immigration in order to ever win again.
Which is exactly why the nominated Trump! /s

@RepJackKimble As a follower of your online persona it pleases me to no end to learn that you are a true DnD nerd as well.
And Colbert is the classiest of class acts.
English

I'm going to do the break character thing which I don't do too often. Way back in 1994 I think Stephen Colbert was one of my instructors at the Second City Training Center in Chicago. I had him for 8 weeks of classes with a dozen other aspiring improvisers and he was a genuinely funny and nice guy. He was a new dad so unlike other instructors like Steve Carell, he didn't go out with us afterwards too much, but one time he and I had a 90 minute conversation about all things Dungeons and Dragons and Gen Con which I think confused the other improvisers. The guy was as big a nerd as me. This is not the end for him. There isn't much that he can't do.

@WillyRontgen Increase the pay and farm out to telemercenaries.
English

@drmoneymatters @WillyRontgen @radiology_one Yep. There's not a radiologist shortage for groups willing to a) hire outside help, b) pay that outside help at market or better rates, and c) let them work when and where they want.
English

@WillyRontgen or partner with @radiology_one like some private practices and institutions have and have us read to help decompress either list.
English

@WillyRontgen Hire remote telerads. Pay $45+ / rvu and let them work at whatever flexible time they want and you will get *multiple* takers ... and watch that list melt away.

@lesliedouglasx @KirkegaardEmil "surgeons, the smartest of all doctors"
ha hah hah ha ha hah ha

@KirkegaardEmil Interesting how surgeons, the smartest of all doctors, and overwhelmingly the part of medicine that is the most male, is the most right-wing.

@FrankLuntz @Alicia_Smith19 The problem for JD will be similar to Harris with Biden.
Can Vance get far enough away from a *very* unpopular Trump to win a general...
and, additionally, can he create that distance without Trump /MAGA trying to destroy him for disloyalty, costing him the primary.
English

@Alicia_Smith19 You don’t think JD can win them back by hitting the podcast circuit again in 2028?

I think I see @sportsraddoc up in those stands!

They need a Senate majority. It's all useless without that detail.
Graham Platner for Senate@grahamformaine
If Donald Trump tries to confirm a Supreme Court justice in his final two years, Senate Democrats must follow The McConnell Rule™

Just one win away from the Eastern Conference Finals… but the Cavs let it slip away tonight. How are you feeling, Cleveland?

Tony Dokoupil had to suddenly stop the CBS Evening News broadcast from Taiwan after a cameraman suffered a medical emergency.
“You will hear a lot about the rise of a powerful new China,” Dokoupil was saying as the camera quickly cut to B roll footage. “Is he ok?” Dokoupil was heard asking. “We’re going to take a quick break. We have a medical emergency here. We’re calling a doctor,” he says before the segment ends abruptly.
“Tonight during the final segment of CBS Evening News, our cameraman on set suffered a medical emergency. Thankfully, he’s okay and recovering,” CBS Evening News said on X.
