Menurut laporan yang tular di media sosial, suspek dikenali sebagai Jeetendra Pathak dipercayai mendekati ibu mangsa, Rati, yang ketika itu dikatakan sedang berdepan konflik rumah tangga. Bagaimanapun, wanita terbabit dilaporkan menolak desakan suspek untuk berkahwin. Suspek kemudian didakwa memperdaya mangsa, Aarav, dengan alasan mahu membelikan gula-gula sebelum membawa kanak-kanak tersebut ke lokasi lain. Mangsa dipercayai diserang dan disahkan meninggal dunia akibat kecederaan yang dialami. Ketika ditangkap dan dibawa ke hospital, Jeetendra ditanya mengapa dia membunuh kanak-kanak itu, dia menjawab; "Saya tiada permusuhan dengan budak itu, tanya mak dia (mengapa saya membunuh anaknya),". Dia kemudian meminta air berulang kali pada polis yang mengawalnya. Apa yang menarik, kes sezalim ini tidak mendapat perhatian media utama India hanya kerana Jeetendra dikatakan berkasta Brahmin. Kes itu bagaimanapun mencetuskan kemarahan orang ramai di media sosial dengan ramai menuntut tindakan tegas terhadap suspek. Pihak berkuasa setakat ini sedang menjalankan siasatan lanjut bagi mengesahkan motif dan kronologi sebenar kejadian.-MYNEWSHUB

@diol2n فيه فرنسي كان راتبه حوالي الخمسين ألف ريال كان اذا جاء العمل ماتقدر توقف جنبه ثواني من ريحته واذا مر من جنبك تشم ريحه العفن فيه حتى في الاماكن اللي مر منها . وسخ لدرجه غير معقوله.. وكان يشتغل على أجهزة احيان يحتاج نكون حوله نشوف وش يسوي وتعال شوف المعاناه وقتها .

I am Gujarati myself, but this kind of behaviour is exactly why people abroad start stereotyping all Indians and Gujaratis. Celebrate culture with pride, but blasting speakers and dancing inside an airport only ends up embarrassing other Indians and Gujaratis who then face the stereotypes and racism that follow. There’s a difference between cultural pride and public nuisance. Culture is not the problem - lack of civic sense is.
