It was so good to see all faiths represented at today’s Civic Inter-Faith Chanukah Service at Bradford Synagogue. A wonderful event for my last engagement as LL.

I was so pleased to visit the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease in Leeds. Thank you to Esther Wakeman CEO of @LDShospcharity for showing me round this fantastic brand new facility.

Thank you to @LordMayorLeeds for a wonderful Reception in the Civic Hall. It has been a great pleasure working with you and all the other former Lord Mayors during my term of office.

With two weeks to go as LL, thank you to the @WYFRS Band for allowing me to fulfil a longstanding ambition. Just go up and down said the conductor. You will be fine, we don’t take any notice of him replied a band member. I won’t be giving up the day job on the strength of this.

Here at the War Horse Memorial in Featherstone to represent ⁦@LordLtWY⁩ and to pay my respects to the fallen. Always a poignant reminder of the sacrifice given by so many in the defence of our country. We shall remember them.

This afternoon I represented the Lord Lieutenant in Birstall along with ⁦@KirkleesMayor⁩ . It started with a parade to the Church for a service before the wreath laying. A big thank you for everyone who came to remember the ultimate sacrifices made by our armed forces.

Delighted to represent this morning the Lord Lieutenant at the Remembrance service in Clifford. My thanks as always to Nicholas Fawcett for all his hard work in organising the morning. Lest we Forget.

Privileged to be here today at the Etz Chaim Synagogue in Leeds for their Shabbat Service of Remembrance. A big thank you to Rabbi Gilbert and all his congregation for their warm welcome.

@LordLtWY @casveterans An amazing privilege to be present to witness this medal presentation. His words about his fallen comrades were a sobering reminder of the sacrifices so many people made.

It was such a privilege to present the Légion d’Honneur to 101 year old veteran Cyril Booth @casveterans today. Born in Featherstone and educated in Pontefract, Mr Booth served with the Royal Corps of Signals and was part of the 11th Armoured Division at the Normandy landings.

Leeds Bradford Airport's much awaited expansion has finally opened! The first phase of this expansion has opened, which includes a new baggage collection area, immigration, 3 new boarding gates and 83% increase in food and drinks area. Phase 2 is set to open by the end of 2026.
