My sister retired from teaching today after 38 years in the classroom in one school. No one from SLT spoke to her. No staff gathering organised at all. A card - that’s it. She dedicated herself to her craft. Turned down promotions. Wanted to be a great history teacher. 1/2

@PE_MsBird @TPScheme On your statement it shows which years your FS will be based on, it may be your current salary, but it could be your best three years from the last 10. This rolls on, so for me eg it’s 2015 to 2018 . That’s because those former salaries are adjusted for RPI but salaries have /2

@GMB as a teacher all schools I know have toilets locked during lesson time. We have students hide in toilets, vandalise, vape and this helps reduce this significantly. Not all students treat the toilets with the respect they should.
